The rapid advancement of digital transformation has reshaped the economy, education, technology, and environment, requiring stakeholders to adapt and develop sustainable strategies. However, the integration of digitalization into these sectors also brings challenges related to infrastructure readiness, digital literacy, ethical concerns, and environmental sustainability
On the other hand, digital transformation from an economic perspective has driven global connectivity, increased efficiency, and created new business models. In this case, the rise of automation, artificial intelligence (AI), and big data analytics has revolutionized industries, but at the same time, it has introduced challenges such as digital inequality, cybersecurity risks, and workforce displacement. Here, businesses and policymakers must develop sustainable economic strategies that balance innovation with inclusivity and long-term resilience. Thus, digitalization in the education sector has also accelerated the adoption of online learning platforms, AI-driven personalized education, and virtual classrooms. While these advancements offer greater accessibility and flexibility, they also pose challenges such as unequal access to digital resources, concerns about data privacy, and the need for new pedagogical approaches.
Universitas Tunas Pembangunan Surakarta (UTP) is organizing the International Conference on Economy, Education, Technology and Environment “Sustainability and Digital Transformation: Challenges and Opportunities Across Sectors”. This conference aims to facilitate knowledge exchange among academics, researchers, industry practitioners, policymakers, and other stakeholders to explore strategies for sustainable digital transformation.
